Imagine
That! takes you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and
exploration…a journey limited only by the power of
imagination. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal
development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s
potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity
and individuality.
Kindermusik Imagine That! is designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative 3- and 4-year-olds and encourages socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing the preschooler's vocal development as her expressive language is just beginning to emerge. Parents are invited to participate in the last 15 minutes for Sharing Time of the 45-minute class. Home materials inspire musical activities as a family all week long.

WHAT WILL WE DO IN CLASS AND WHY? |
|
Singing fosters the development of your child's most important instrument, the voice, through vocal exploration, songs, and chants. |
|
Moving develops body awareness, coordination, and spatial relationships through synchronized movement, creative movement, and simple dances. |
|
Playing introduces a variety of musical timbres with percussion instruments such as drums, maracas, guiros, resonator bars, and instruments your child creates at home. |
|
Creating stimulates your child's imagination and encourages new exploration with sound and movement. |
|
Patterning boosts your child's ability to think musically through the integration of basic rhythmic and tonal language. |
|
Listening cultivates your child's heightened attentiveness to sound discrimination. |
|
Exploring timbre, dynamics, tempo, and pitch lays the foundation for conceptualization of the elements of music. |

Play Together " "Hello Weather,
Let's Play Together" explores
sunshine, rain, snow, thunder- storms and more in this imaginative and
delightful weather-related musical adventure. Whether creating storm
sounds on a drum or throwing pretend snowballs, children and their families are encouraged to get outdoors and enjoy
the world around them. Imagine That! Research shows that more imaginative, pretend play scenarios help a child's language and literacy development. Some scientists even say pretend play helps children smile more, provides a critical link to developing a logical and creative thought process, and helps children grow up to be better problem solvers. At-Home Materials: All
Imagine That! At-Home Materials invite you and your child to continue the fun and
learning at home. Each item allows
children to expand on pretend play concepts explored in the Kindermusik
classroom. The Music on their CD ranges from Jazz to Classical and is
from other
cultures as well. Each materials kit contains: Double

Introducing an
exceptional curriculum for the
For the 3- and 4-year-old child, imagination is everything. He’ll tie a
blanket around his neck and fly like a superhero…crawl around the living room
and growl like a tiger…gallop on a broomstick horse…or use a cardboard box to
build a castle. Resourcefulness and creativity abound thanks to his burgeoning
imagination. |
